Thiazolyl- and thiazolinyl-amide(s) of phosphorus acids - useful as insecticides, acaricides and herbicides

Thiazole derivs. of formula (I) are new: (where R is 1-4C alkyl, haloalkyl or alkoxy; R1 is 1-4C alkoxy, phenoxy, halophenoxy, 1-4C alkylamino, dialkylamino or 2-thiazolinylamino; X is O, S; Z is CH2CH2 or CH=CH). (I) are useful as (a) insecticides and acaricides, eg with higher activity than chlorophos against Colorado beetle and higher activity than halekron and menason against red spider; (b) herbicides, e.g. active against millet and oats. In an example, O-phenyl N-(2-thiazolinyl)methylphosphonamidate, is prepd. from O-phenyl methylphosphonyl chloride and 2-aminothiazoline.
