<p>The composite window comprises two wings, joined together on one side so as to be able to swivel or fold up, and formed with fittings for locking or bolting together on the other side. In normal operation, the two wings lie against each other and carry out swinging movement as a single unit. The intervening space between the two window wings (3, 4) contains an inflatable pad (7) which fills the area between the panes (5, 6). The pad may be in the form of transparent foil sheeting, and filled with carbon dioxide.</p> |
