The distance of the round pin system of the plug connector socket is reduced in the retaining cap (4) of its base part (1) by 1 mm from the original distance of 19 mm. Each contact bushing (5) of the double shank contact spring carries an inserted spring (7) with shanks which abut the outer sides of the respective contact bushings. In order to enable the locking of the inserted springs in a preset position, the springs have holding lugs (14) for securing in the retaining caps. The spring shanks are provided with holes (9) and the caps for the double shank spring are provided with beads to engage the holes.
