The solar battery is intended for a spacecraft, and the system contains at least one support foil with solar cells. The foil is zig-zag folded between two holding elements at the ends of a tensioning telescope. At the folds are secured struts for securing to the telescope. The folded foil is held together by a latch which can be remotely delocked. - The holding elements consists of a base ring (3), secured to one front side of the spacecraft, and a clamping ring (4) fastened to the extensible end of the telescope (8). The struts are formed by rings (34) with spokes, one ring being associated with an external fold (61) of the support foil (7) in folded state. Each inside fold (30a) has a prestressed spring (63). |
