<p>Anchor for tensioning cable assembly in a pre-stressed concrete member in which the cables extend parallel to one another along the member and are splayed outwardly prior to their parallel end portions being received in a tensioning head is provided with a polyethylene spacer of grid construction and provided about its periphery with spaced axial grooves in which are located the cables. Spacer is arranged at the larger end of the frusto-conical formation in the member and the grid structure of the spacer which is axially slidable in the member permits resilient taking-up of radial stresses induced by tensioning of the cables by means of bolted connections at the rear end of the head.</p> |
