The pressurised gas cylinder is used in rifles using pressurised gas as propellant. The rifle has a frame with a breech mechanism which has a gas cylinder piercing mechanism for propellant release. The loading arrangement is connected with the gas cylinder holding chamber (68). A longitudinally moving rod is actuated by cams and by a lever for moving to the cylinder towards the piercing arrangement and away from it. The rod has a cam plunger and head which contacts the base of the gas cylinder.
