Toy railway line interchange pit - has cut=outs in flanged sides to clear lugs on interchange wagon to permit removal

A toy railway system includes a pit made from a dished housing, with flanges (1) along the top of two parallel sides. Between these two sides can be moved a wagon (3) mounted on wheels (5) so that it can be aligned with selected sets of rails (8). The top surface of the wagon also carries rail sections. The flanges (1) also extend inwards, and the wagon has lugs (4) extending outwards. The part of the flanges extending inwards have two sets of cut-outs corresponding to the two sets of lugs, so that in an outermost position, the wagon can be lifted vertically (E) out of the pit.
