The bags are made from a continuous plastic tube with lateral accordion pleats, and assembled in sets for storage or dispatch. Segments are welded transversely and parted off from the tube, and are cut out at the front in the direction of travel along a neckline, folded crosswise on themselves at least once, and assembled in piles containing a predetermined number of items. The necklines can be cut out during the transverse welding and parting-off operations, and the ends pulled out of the welding and parting-off operations, the transverse folds. The bags can be loaded in their piles into packages. The cutting and folding station can be situated downstream of the welding and parting station. |
