<p>Runner for bobsleigh, sledge, ice sailer, etc. comprises a supporting portion, a sliding portion, and an intermediate elastomer profile for heat insulation and shock absorption, pref. a silicone compsn. with a Shore hardness of 60 preventing metallic contact between the supporting and sliding portions. The supporting portion pref. has >=1 longitudinal recess for holding the elastomer profile, with parallel edges while the sliding portion has >=1 longitudinal web and parallel supporting edges. The supporting and sliding portions are pref. joined by a pin mounted at each end of the runner, the pin being fixed rigidly to the sliding portion and mounted movably in a bore in the supporting portion. Heat which is generated is not conducted to the whole runner profile, and higher speeds of travel are possible.</p> |
