1,096,253. Separating chromatography fractions for analysis. CZECHOSLOVENSKA AKADEMIE VEB. April 7, 1966 [April 7, 1965], No. 15618/66. Heading B1X. [Also in Divisions B8 and G1] The liquid fed from a chromatographic column 11 is separated into fractions for feeding to an analyser 5 by means of a coiled pipe 1 immersed in a heated liquid 2 which causes gas absorbed in the liquid to be released thereby separating the various fractions of liquid. The liquid to be analysed such as a mixture of amino acids, is pumped by a pump 3 to the column 11. An evaluating reagent, such as rinhydrin, is added at the outlet of the column by means of a pump 12 to a junction 10. The amino acids and reagent passes, via a tube 4, to the pipe 1 so that bubbles of air are released which divide up the continuous stream of liquid into a number of segments thereby preventing mixing of the latter. |
