<p>The application is to standard motors requiring the use of diodes mounted on the machine. A secure and reliable way of accommodating these is to fit them into a plug (6) which is then screwed into a spare conduit or gland entry (5) is the motor terminal box (4). If the motor is externally cooled the air blowing over the casing ribs (2) can be deflected to blow (9) in part over the diode plug. The diodes (10) are typically potted into the plug, and have the necessary tails for connection to terminals in the box. The construction gives a dustproof assembly and needs few additional parts.</p> |
