The valve has a cast body (1) with a separate inlet sleeve (2). The top end of the sleeve forms the valve seat (3). The valve (4) sits onto the seat (3) and is housed in a case (5). The case (5) comes into contact with an adjusting ring (18) which can be screwed upwards or downwards on the inlet sleeve. The ring is locked by a bar (17) through the casing. The valve spring (11) acts against the seat through the push rod (26). The rod is located centrally in the plate (8). The slope of the orifice in the seat case (5) allows increased flow through the valve at maximum opening.
