The combined harvester has a centrifugal grain operator anda chaff catcher. First, only the ears or heads, is cut from the corn, threshed and fed to a centrifugal grain separator. The stalks are mowed selectively by a further cutting procedure or left on the field. The combine harvester is equipped with two cutting tools, a blower and a threshing drum. The separator is pref. a vertical centrifugal grain separator in the form of a cone set on its apex.
