The ignition timing adjuster is intended for a combustion engine with a thermoreactor in the exhaust manifold and with an ignition distributor. The ignition timing point is adjusted in the advance direction by a centrifugal force dependent regulator in response to the optimum adjusting curve of the engine. In the retard direction the adjustment is carried out in opposite direction by a device (2) responding to the engine vacuum. This device can be disconnected when the engine has attained a preset speed. The vacuum line (5, 6) to the retard adjuster pref. contains a speed controlled three-way valve (8) which provides connection to the intake manifold (7) at conditions below the preset speed. After the preset speed has been reached, the valve connects to atmosphere.
