The picture frame is of glass with a wall section enclosed by an integral frame thicker than the wall section. The wall section at least is of transparent glass, and is enclosed by smooth flat surfaces. One of these surfaces can be the negative of a flat surface in a mould, while the other is formed by the set free surface of the glass, formerly in a liquid state. This other face can be smoothed by a tool of porous moistened material. One of the frame surfaces can also be formed by the free surface of glass after setting from the liquid state. The frame can protrude past one or both faces of the wall section.
|
