<p>A xenon lamp which will sustain a light intensity which is more or less constant over a considerably long operating period. The metallic vapour or volatile substances produced during the discharge process will be adsorbed on pieces of magnet inside the bulb, preventing the walls from becoming blackened. The magnetic adsorber is ring shaped. The ring shaped element is mounted in a heat resistant electrically insulating sheet which is located between the discharge section of an electrode and the sealed section at the end of the bulb. The magnetic field produced will attract the volatile particles away from the inner surface of the bulb, preventing any blackening.</p> |
