Printed hose feed control system for packaging machine - uses photoelectric cell and reflective sheets on pallets to be covered

The system controls delivery of unprinted or printed hoses of sheet material as desired to the inlet of a machine pulling them over batches of items stacked on pallets delivered by a conveyor. The pallets whose contents are to be encased in printed hose are provided with a reflective sheet, and all are passed by a photoelectric cell whose beam reacts to the reflective sheet. This actuates a switch stopping delivery of unprinted hose and supplying a printed one instead. The system is completely automatic in operation.
