Solar heating system variable angle heat collector - has air space and black coloured water circulation space between three glass layers

The solar heating system uses heat collectors which can be attached to supports so that their angle can be varied to suit the season so that in winter, the sun rays are nearly vertical. The collector has an outer glass sheet (1) and a second glass sheet (3) with a space (2) between. Between the second sheet (3) and a third glass sheet (5) is a second space for circulation of water coloured black. Immediately behind the third glass sheet (5) is a reflective layer (6) of e.g. aluminium foil. Behind this is a thick mineral wool insulating layer (7) supported by a shell (8) which may be a roof. The liquid may include an anti-frost additive.
