Brominated unsatd. polyester-monomer mixt. - contg. dimethyl methyl phosphonate to prevent colouring on UV exposure

In an unsatd. polyesters resin/monomer mixt. in which the polyester contains 4-40 wt. % bound Br in the form of dibromoneopentyl glycol moieteis, the improvement comprises the presence of 1-10 wt. pts. (per 100 wt. pts. resin/monomer mixt.) of dimethyl methyl phosphonate. The compsn. is stabilised against colouring caused by UV exposure and against clouding with age. The monomer in the mixt. is pref. styrene, and the compsn. pref. also includes a benzotriazole as an additional UV stabiliser.
