The junction fitting is for joining a coaxial cable to a coaxial distribution cable, which, for example, can be inserted between telephone cables and distribution cables leading in to exchange stations. The joint is made without the supply of heat and the minimum of space is occupied. The end of the internal conductor (3) of the coaxial cable is threaded and engages a connection socket. The free end of the socket forms a split spring loaded bush (7) which engages the internal conductor (8) of the distribution cable (2). The external conductor for coaxial cable and of the distribution cable are joined by semi-cylindrical shells. The shells are held together by holes clip type clamps.
