The document filing folder has its metal filing prong (2) attached to the cover by a self adhesive strip (1). After the documents (13) have been filed, the prong is bent as flat as possible, then a securing strip (3) is applied to hold and locate the free ends. This includes a central portion to cover the middle region of the prong and two narrow strips (8) with a space between them to house the free ends. This space is covered with a self adhesive layer (7) to hold the free ends down. A small uncoated zone (9a) remains under the tip of the face end to enable it to be lifted when required for removing or adding documents.
