1,172,359. Vattable phthalocyanine dyes. MARTIN-MARIETTA CORP. 19 Dec., 1966 [20 Dec., 1965], No. 56755/66. Heading C4P. Vattable sulphur-containing phthalocyanine dyes are prepared by heating a phthalocyanine sulphinate or a copper or nickel phthalocyanine sulphinate dissolved in an inert liquid medium, preferably water, with X 2 S 2 O 3 or a sodium polysulphide wherein X is Na, K or NH 4 . The products are assumed to be polymers containing phthalocyanine sulphonic acid residues linked by disulphide or polysulphide linkages. They may be solubilized (leuco-form) with aqueous sodium sulphide padded on to cotton fabric, which is dried and oxidized to give green dyeings.
|
