<p>In the synchronous electrical machine, variable speed is achieved by electric pole shifting in the magnet wheel. The stator winding (1) is as usual supplied from the three-phase mains, and a dc motor armature (2) is in the form of a magnet wheel whose set of brushed (4) is rotatable about the rotor shaft and is synchronously driven by it through differential gears and an external drive. The rotor is supplied through a rectifier. It is con-automatically controlled and operates as a rectifier or an invertor, depending on load and speed.</p> |
