<p>The flying spot scanner for telecine applications has an optical system for producing two images of the film. A film moves (9) in the direction indicated by the arrow (10). Further arrows (7, 8) indicate the direction and amplitude of scanning of the film in adjacent frames. A shutter (5) moves in the direction of the arrow (15) in synchronism with the flying spot. An objective (6) form an image of the film which is directed on to the pickup screen (1) by an arrangement of three prisms (2-4). A half-silvered mirror (13) splits the beam into two.</p> |
