PURPOSE:To contrive improvements in mechanical strength and stabilization of quality, by a method wherein a polyarylene sulfide resin molding material containing fibrous substance of a specific rate is heat-treated at a temperature falling within a specific range. CONSTITUTION:A polyarylene sulfide resin molding material which contains polyarylene sulfide resin and a fibrous substance and contents of the fibrous substance is 1-80wt.% is heat-treated at a temperature ranging from 180 deg.C to the melting point of, polyarylene sulfide resin. Either hot crosslinked polyarylene sulfide resin or straight chain polyarylene sulfide resin may do as the polyarylene sulfide resin. A vitreous fiber such as a glass fiber, highly siliceous fiber and alumina silicate fiber are mentioned as the fibrous substance. The polyarylene sulfide resin molding material to be obtained is formed into a form of a final product by adopting suitably a publicly known molding method to be followed by remelting of the resin such as injection molding or compression molding or extrusion molding. |
