1519638 Nut blanching apparatus J W GARDNER 17 Oct 1975 [21 Oct 1974] 42821/75 Heading A2Q Nut blanching apparatus consists of a hopper 92 for dispersing nuts on to a moving belt 16 and a number of abrasive baffles carried by tubes 58 whose height above the belt may be adjusted; one end of each baffle being inside the belt edge and forward of the other end of the baffle; the apparatus also comprising two pairs of tracks, one pair parallel to the belt and the other parallel to the baffles, the tracks being provided with rollers riding thereon and lead screws and followers for moving the second pair of tracks along the first pair of tracks, and a moveable carriage between the first and second pairs of tracks, the carriage being moveable along the second pair of tracks. The apparatus provides adjustable settings for dealing with different sizes, grades, types and conditions of nuts. |
