1519612 Film cassette H A H SPENCEBATE 10 July 1975 [18 July 1974] 29115/75 Heading B8M In a light-tight microfilm cassette 1 unexposed film 7 is fed by rollers 13, 14 from a supply means 2 round a guide 11 to a suction platen 4 where it is held between the platen 4 and a filming aperture, and the then exposed film 7 is supplied via guide 12 to a film take-up means 3. A take-up spool 3 is driven by a belt pulley arrangement wherein drive is transmitted to a roller 19 by a drive roller 20 of the camera in which the cassette is used. A roll pin 28 periodically rotates a geneva wheel 29 provided with a segment 32 which, when contacts a reed switch 33 of the camera, stops the motor of the camera. In another embodiment, instead of the spools, a microfiche laminae is used which is provided with unexposed and exposed film retaining compartments separated by a resilient partition (64) Fig. 2 (not shown). In this embodiment the exposed film, leaves via a door (66) for processing by deflecting first a diverter guide (65). Fig. 3 shows cassettes movable by means of an activator 45, a lens turret 47 having at least one camera lens, a record to be filmed in an object plane 48 and a tilting card 49. In the Fig. 5 embodiment the suction platen 81 itself causes film stepping while the spools 83 may remain locked. When the film has been exposed the take-up spool 83 is unlocked and rotated to take-up the exposed film. |
