1519785 Knitting-machines H STOLL & CO GESCHAEFTSFUERUNGS GmbH 16 July 1975 [26 July 1974] 29738/75 Heading D1C Needle selection is effected on a flat knitting machine in two stages with a time-lag therebetween, the needles being pre-selected electromagnetically by a system I or II in the first stage and being actuated mechanically by an associated cam system 1 or 2 in the second stage, the time lag being produced either by spacing the preselection system (I) upstream of the associated cam system (2) in the direction of carriage travel or by preselecting the needles (e.g. at I) in one stroke of the carriage for actuation by a cam system (I) during the next stroke.
