Root crops are fed to a circulating conveyor track face in its higher region to maintain a low bulk height. The conveyor face is inclined to both horizontal and vertical planes and rises at the delivery side for the waste. By picking up the waste through the higher region of the feed path face, the crop is separated as its rolls downwards normally in the region of the inclined delivery transverse to the conveyor path face. The conveyor is vibrated in the lower delivery region so that the crop rolls off.
|
