<p>A flat container, having a pair of electrodes facing each other with a specified gap inbetween, constituting two walls of the container, at least one of said electrodes being transparent, is filled with oil containing a dye. When a voltage is impressed across the electrodes, tint or color saturation of the oil seen from the transparent electrodes changes from non electrified state, and in some cases, changes further in accordance with increase of the impressed voltage.</p> |
