Automatic cleaning of empty cess pits

Cleaning system for rectangular or circular cess pits has a carriage which is driven along rails over the pit or vessel. If the latter is covered, these are suspended under this. On an open tank, the rails can be along the side walls.Attached to the carriage there is at least one adjustable wash device with sprays mounted rigidly to it. These are fed from a high pressure pump and directed against the walls of the tank. The action of the pump and the motion of the carriage are controlled automatically from the water level in the tank as measured in the outflow pipe. A flexible high pressure tube feeds the water to the sprays, this being suspended from supports.For use in cleaning effluent pits, cess ponds, etc.
