摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the title recording material suppressed in the color development due to rubbing and pressure without damaging the sensitivity, preservability or other properties thereof by containing monoester or diester of straight chain fatty acid having the specific number of carbon atoms or more and an alcoholic compound selected from a group consisting of glycerine, straight chain glycol and sorbitan in a thermal color forming layer. CONSTITUTION:As monoester or diester of a straight chain fatty acid (the number of carbon atoms: 16 or more) and an alcoholic compound selected from glycerine, straight chain glycol and sorbitan used in a thermal color forming layer containing a coupler, for example, a monoester compound of straight chain stearic acid monoglyceride and straight chain glycol represented by formula I (wherein R is a 10 or more C straight alkyl group) and sorbitan monostearate are designated. A leuco dye is used alone or a mixed state of two or more kinds of leuco dyes but, for example, a triphenylmethane type dye is pref. used. As one embodiment, 3,3-bis(p- dimethylaminophenol)-phthalide is designated. By this constitution, a recording material excellent in effect for suppressing color development against external mechanical force due to scratch, rubbing or pressure, long-term storage stability and high temp. and high humidity preservability is obtained.
