PURPOSE:To stably produce the developer which obviates the degradation in density by splashing, fogging and durability by executing the agitating operation to mix a toner and a carrier for the time when the electrostatic charge quantity of the toner is maximized. CONSTITUTION:The electrostatic charge quantity of the toner is varied by the mixing time of the toner and the carrier in mixing of the toner and the carrier at the time of production of the developer. The mixing time when the development efficiency is highest and the image quality is good exists with the developers which are different in the electrostatic charge quantity by a difference in the mixing time. The mixing state approximate to the range where the electrostatic charge quantity of the toner exhibits the max. value corresponds to this time. The electrostatic charge quantity of the toner is uniformly stabilized by mixing the toner and the carrier for the prescribed time in such a manner and, therefore, the beautiful images with which the splashing and fogging are eliminated are obtd. by this developer. The toner and the carrier are stably supplied without being much influenced by environmental conditions and the sufficient image densities are eventually obtd. from the initial period to the last. |
