A chamber for batch mixing of granular, powdered, and liquid materials is of U-shaped cross-section, with a shaft 5 concentric with the curved part of the wall, the shaft having blades 6 throwing the mix into the path of flanged and apertured mixing blades 8. The discharge aperture is in the curved part of the wall, and normally closed by a correspondingly curved door mounted on arms pivoted to the flat end faces of the chamber. The aperture is located so that the rotating blades will tend to push the mix therethrough, the door in its open position acting as a deflector. |
