When cured by the ultraviolet light, e.g. 3650-3720Š in less than six minutes. The textile forms a light, rigid, air-permeable, non-irritating cast the fabric may have lateral stretchability and resistance to lengthwise stretchability, e.g. Raschel knit, prior to curing of the resin. There may be up to 8 layers of fabric in the cast. There may be a knitted polypropylene stockinet within the cast. The yarns in the fabric may be glass of diameter 0.00015- 0.00021 inch, nylon or natural fibres. The curable resin may comprise a benzoin ether or ester of formula C 6 H 5 . CO . CHOR . C 6 H 5 (where.
