<p>Roller table for the transfer of metal sheets includes self-propelled rollers mounted in a fixed frame. Each roller has a sheath, made of rubber or another elastomer, on at least part of its length. Each roller pref. consists of a barrel with a shoulder near one end; and the sheath butts against the shoulder to form a flush surface. The sheat pref. resists abrasion and shock, and has thickness 10-15 mm, with Shore hardness C-55 to C-65. A chamfer is pref. provided on the end of the sheath away from the shoulder. Small rollers are pref. located between the main rollers to restrict tilting of the metal sheet. The small rollers may be made of steel with a chamfer at each end, or consist of a steel core with a sheath of rubber or other elastomer similar to the large rollers.</p> |
