摘要 <p>A fissile material assembly for a fast neutron reactor comprises an outer casing, with a headpiece at one end and a shaft at the other end, the fissile material elements contained in the casing are associated with gas collecting chambers for receiving the gaseous fission prods. These gas collecting chambers are subdivided into a central gp. and a peripheral gp. At least one of these gps. of gas collecting chambers is in the shaft of the fuel element upstream of the fissile material elements. Used for a fast neutron reactor. The arrangement of the gas collecting chambers, some of them in the shaft of the fuel element, permits a redn. of 20-30% in the overall length and pressure drop through the fuel assembly.
