Vehicle electric system monitoring circuit - has electromagnetic relay in monitored electric circuit which energises warning lamp during defective operation

A monitoring circuit is used which checks the current state of an electrical circuit in a road vehicle. The circuit to be checked is associated with a switch which in periods of normal functioning passes current to the vehicles electrical system whereas, in periods of faulty operation diverts the current to a warning lamp on the vehicle dash board. The switch comprises an electromagnetic relay comprising a coil (6) inserted in the vehicle electrical system to be checked. Failure of current in the vehicle circuit causes actuation of the relays (7) thereby illuminating the warning lamp (13).
