<p>A box file, as used in offices for filing with perforations to match the holding mechanism attached to the inside of the spine, has two covers made of stiff material, covered in turn by a protective layer of plastics sheet. Where this sheet covers the exterior of the spine, a rectangular window is cut, through which can be seen a reference card. Secured over the window, is transparent panel attached by a weld all round its edge. A slot is cut across the outer sheet at the top of the spine, for inserting the card. This card which is printed with spaces for adding filing details, can be initially mounted inside the cover, ready for use, and removed by means of a tear line.</p> |
