Fermentative prepn. of L-lysine - using strain of Brevibacterium or Corynebacterium resistant to 5-2-aminoethyl-L-cysteine

Method comprises culturing a variety of bacteria of Brevibacterium or Corynebacterium, which shows the resistance to s-2-aminoethyl-L-cysteine, can grow at 30 degrees C but cannot grow at 34 degrees C in minimal amt. of medium is capable of producing L-lysine, and recovering accumulated L-lysine. L-lysine can be prepared in extremely high yield.
