<p>The forcible-feeding apparatus is for use with ducks and geese, having a hopper in which the food is contained, and in whose tip a motor-driven auger rotates. The hopper (20) moves up and down in relation to the motor unit (1), which is fixed. The drive can be taken by a component keyed to the motor and auger shafts, and formed by two parts telescoping one inside the other. The design reduces the effort required of the operator, and allows a long hopper tip to be used, extending right into the gullet of the animal and depositing the food in layers.</p> |
