The walking stick (1) consists of a hollow rod (2) with at least one hollow lobe (5) on its surface. This lobe extends longitudinally to the base of the rod (6). Another rod (7) is lodged in this lobe and can be used for picking up objects or to provide a light. The external rod may be removable and is held in place by collars (8), or it is fixed to the walking stick. It can be equipped at its lower extremity with a magnet (9), claws, or a supple cup for picking up objects or with a light, the batteries being in the rod. At its upper extremity there is a lever (10) to operate the devices.
