<p>A safety closure especially for fuel tanks of motor vehicles consists of a top part (1) provided with a clamping edge. The top part is attached to a bottom part with a central recess in which is located a stopper with a ball. The stopper consists of a hydrocarbon resisting cast synthetic elastomer and has a hollow cylindrical body enclosed at the top by a cover with outwards projecting lip. The top, and bottom part are cast from thermoplastic synthetic material such as Polyacetal. The hollow cylindrical body is provided at its bottom end with a tubular part which is attached to the cylindrical body by vertical walls in such a way as to form a seat for a ball from a stainless steel round an opening in the tubular part.</p> |
