The multi-purpose bed attachment comprises a seat combination with adjustable arm rests which can be attached to the head end of the bed and is provided with a head rest. An extra shelf can be fitted onto the arm rests to provide a table for reading, writing or eating and the incline of this shelf is adjustable. The back of the seat unit is adapted to the shape of the body to prevent back ache to relax the spinal column. The side ear pieces of the head rest can be adjusted to provide optimum head support. A reading lamp can be mounted at the top of the back and head rest and the arm rests can be folded up out of the way if one wishes to sleep horizontally. This seat unit can be made to fit single and double beds and can be fastened directly to the wall or bed.
