Fire sprinkler system for cold store room - has main supply and branches with gas of different pressures separated by valves

The system is partic. for cold store applications where no liq. extinguishing agent must be present in the piping inside the room whilst the system is not in active operation. The main supply pipe as well as the branches are filled with pressurised gas of different pressures. The gas pressure in the supply pipe is maintained from one source and the branches from another source via respective non return valves. If, after outbreak of fire one of the sprinkler heads opens, pressure maintained by the gas drops and non return valves allow the pressure in the supply pipe to drop. The decreased pressure in the supply pipe registers via the line in a chamber of the operating valve. Higher pressure in the main supply end pushes the plunger into the chamber to open the passage of pressurised extinguishing agent into the main supply pipe.
