The battery has a guide plane for gases on top of it and consisting of a flexible membrane. An easily moving mass is located on top of the membrane. The gas outlet holes are located beneath the membrane. The gases produced by the battery are therefore under a continuous overpressure and are consequently driven out through the outlet holes.
