The power transformer set, for electric ovens, has the double-coil windings of the main and auxiliary transformers connected in series such that the first coil (Ia and IIb) has half a winding less whilst the second coil (IIa and Ib) has an extended winding end (2) leading directly to the first coil where it forms the missing part of the first coil winding. The advantage lies in low cost and in no increase in short circuit losses. Excessive complication in the circuit is avoided.
