<p>The slide rail guide for a car seat consists of two parallel pairs of rails, one fixed to the vehicle seat and the other fixed to the vehicle floor. Each rail (2, 3) is made of two millimeter thick steel plate and both rails have a U-shaped cross-section (4, 5) whose height is roughly double its width. At their inner shanks (6, 7) the rails engage into the U-profile (4, 5) of the other rail. Between this shank (7, 7) and the inner walls (8, 9) of the U-cross-section (4, 5) only a small air gap remains. The outside shanks (23, 24) are extended beyond the height of the inner shanks (6, 7), while the outer rounding (13) of the region with U-shaped cross-section (5) of the guided rail (3) is gripped by the outer shank (2, 3) of the guide rail.</p> |
