<p>Rendering, partic. suited to building materials, showing good adhesion, elasticity, insulation, fireproofing and fungicidal properties, is produced from a dry mixt. of 33-66 wt. % of an inorganic hydraulic binder (cements); 33-66 wt. % perlite, opt. with vermiculite or microasbestos; 0.33-1.1 wt. % alkali rust inhibitor; 0.33-1.1 wt. % stearate-based hydrophobic agent; and 0.55-0.2 wt. % of a fungicidal agent based on water-insol. Cu or Ag salts. Mixt. is mixed with 70-150 wt. % water and homogenised with 3-10 wt. % of a polymeric emulsion (based on wt. of dry material), pref. polyvinyl acetate or latex with a solid content of 40-60%. The material is then applied to surface. Pref. hydraulic binder is Portland cement, white cement or alumina cement. The rendering material shows good adhesion to all materials currently used in building techniques. It is an open material with a good porosity and therefore has good heat insulation properties and is capable of absorbing and giving off large amts. of condensation water.</p> |
