The heat generating system utilises thermal energy of a fuel in conjunction with a heat pump. The latter raises temp. of latent heat in air or natural body of water to a high temp. level. The linked system generates large quantities of heat for heating of swimming pools, residential houses and industrial halls and also process heat. The fuel oil or gas is burned and heat released is used to drive one or more heat pumps. The heat pumps absorb energy from surroundings or from heat sources and raise it to higher temp. Waste heat of the drive unit, e.g., a diesel engine, is supplied in order to improve the overall efficiency of heat pump system. Driving engine energy can be transmitted by mechanical or hydraulic means to heat pump.
